If a full resurfacing is needed, add another $2 to $3 per square foot.

Grinding concrete takes skills and the right diamonds to cut concrete correctly. Generally, the harder the concrete floor, the softer the diamond needed to be to keep the diamonds cutting and not glazing over. Using a 40-grit diamond to cut deep into the concrete takes head pressure above 625 psi. It is recommended for any floor leveling, grinding high spots, 1st cut for polishing, or for a #4 profile for coatings. 80-grit diamonds are widely used to grind a #3 profile for coatings, floor levelers, and acrylic overlays.

The aggregate psi. of any concrete slab can be from 90,000 to 150,000 psi. Cutting into the rock will take aggressive diamonds and head pressure to progress. Most people who rent an angle grinder and shop vac learn quickly that it is easy to cut the top 1/32 inch of the slab, but when the high psi. rock starts to appear, and progress comes to a stop. Call us to take it to the next level fast. 602-418-2970
